Welcome To the smoke that thunders!
After an economic slump in the early 2000s, business is back on track and tourists are slowly rediscovering the jewel that is Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe is known for its large number of medieval era ruins, the most famous of these being Great Zimbabwe, which was the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe during the late iron age.
More than 3,000 rock-art sites, with some paintings estimated to be anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 years old, surround Matopo National Park, one of Zimbabwe’s hidden gems.
