Highlights and sights
The Serengeti
The Serengeti, which includes the Ngorongoro Crater region, is known for the annual wildebeest migration, when two million animals migrate throughout the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. It is considered one of the greatest wildlife spectacles in the world.
The Grumeti Reserve
The Grumeti Reserve is situated in northern Tanzania and forms part of the expansive Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. It is situated on the migratory route, with a vast and endless view over the plains and an abundance of wildlife.
The Mahale Mountains
The Mahale Mountains, home to one of the few remaining wild populations of chimpanzees, borders on lake Tanganyika. Gombe Stream National Park, made popular by Jane Goodall’s pioneering research into primate behavior, borders it to the north.
